SimplyShare Foundation is a non-profit organization primarily devoted to fighting hunger and undernutrition in the most vulnerable populations in the Philippines. Its advocacy for hunger eradication is anchored on a strong belief that food security is a precursory need towards a better quality of life.
There are 15 million undernourished children all over the Philippines. Of its causes, the most prominent are poverty and social deprivation. Undernourishment in children has a profound effect on their overall development and ultimately the chance to succeed in adult life. This prompted a group of like-minded young professionals; educators and entrepreneurs to come together and create a foundation centered in feeding undernourished Filipino children. This advocacy started in Cebu City with an intention to form a Food Bank Council of Cebu and eventually expand its services to other vulnerable populations in the Philippines through local and international linkages.
SimplyShare is a call for broader collaboration among socially responsible individuals and institutions to simply share their talents, time and resources for the hungry and undernourished Filipino children.
